A: No, he’s not that kind of writer, he’s not Saint
Augustine, he’s not Aquinas. We’re not writing a
rigid scheme or doctrine. What it is is a set of
extraordinary perceptions. Some of them more
telling than others, or at least some of them more
telling at this time. Maybe if I read it ten years later
I will find other perceptions in it but I think that is a
fine book. It’s like a great big plum pudding and
everybody finds their own plum.
